One of the most common limitations in the block editor is that the side panels are fixed. You can’t move them, change their position, or adjust their width size. This can be a problem, especially when working on complex layouts or trying to make the best use of your screen space.
With this feature, you could use a small handle icon on the panel title to drag and move any panel to the left or right side of the editor.
You could also merge multiple panels together on the same side. Additionally, you could resize a panel’s width by dragging its edge, just like resizing a column.
This would give you more control over your workspace and make it easier to focus while designing.
